Tue, Aug 9 – Varsity, JV, Freshmen games at Red Oak (122 S State Highway 342, Red Oak, TX 75154). Bus leaves HP at 4pm. First game at 6pm.

Thur-Sat, Aug 11-13 – Varsity at Pearland Tournament. Bus leaves HP at 12pm, Wed Aug 10. Team hotel is Hampton Inn Houston – Pearland.    HP’s game schedule/results here.

“Toughest high school tournament in the country” according to Prep Volleyball. 80 of Texas’ 1300+ high schools came to compete. HP had a tough first day where it went 1W-2L, but won 6 straight games the next 2 days to win Bronze Division.  For a young team with 3 varsity returnees and 10 rookies, great work by coach Dearman and coach Poole. The young players are stepping up, improving at a rapid pace. Very exciting to watch!

ACE Fee – Per this letter from athletic director Ringo, parents are to pay the $250 ACE fee now, since our daughters have made a school team. This fee pays for bus transportation throughout the season. Please log on Skyward to pay the fee with credit card or give a check to your daughter’s coach.

Team Dues – HPVB also needs to pay for banners, posters, parties, events, etc. Freshmen fee is $210, JV fee $210, Varsity fee $475 + $230. Please click here to pay “Team Dues” for your player.

Snap Raise – The above funds cover only 30-40% of HPVB expenses each season and we need additional donations. Parents should have an email on Friday titled “Please support my fundraiser Highland Park Volleyball 2016” from your daughter via Snap Raise. Please open that email and make your donation with credit card. As of Sunday, HPVB has received $12,750! Let’s keep the momentum going and donate, donate, donate. Hebron high is DFW Snap Raise champ with $20K raised. Let’s beat them! The more we collect, the more we can do or pass on to next year.

Saturday, Aug 6

We have scrimmages at Coppell High School (185 W Parkway Blvd, Coppell, TX 75019), please click here for Freshmen games,  click here for JV & Varsity games. Bus departure time is 7:15am!!

We also have the annual HP Volleyball Pool Party (5-7:30pm) for players and coaches at the Stainback’s (3237 Greenbrier). Freshmen last name A-J, bring Appetizer. Freshmen last name K-Z, bring side salad. Sophomores bring fruit ready to serve. Juniors bring beverage to serve seven. Seniors bring ice and breakfast items for Varsity Sleepover. Everyone remember to bring towel, sun screen, bathing suit, change of clothes. Varsity players, don’t forget to bring overnight bag (also pillow and sleeping bag) for the sleepover immediately following the pool party.

The 10 new varsity members were kidnapped, blind folded, taken to Chuy’s for a surprise reveal. Kidnappers, Jordan and Mango, thought they could round up everyone in 45 minutes but took 2 hours, causing the delay in showing rosters on website. Sorry.
